Apply for Consideration to Our Expert Network
International Evaluations has been connecting immigration attorneys, employers, and petitioners with credentialed independent experts since 2018. We accept applications from senior academics and active industry professionals who meet our standards for field-match, independence, and professional rigor.
Two Categories. Both Require Active Practice.
We accept applications in two categories. Every criterion below is something we can verify — and do, as described in the vetting process that follows.
Academic Credential Evaluator
Degree equivalency reports, course-by-course evaluations, and evaluations that combine education with work experience.
- Current faculty appointment or equivalent role at an accredited U.S. college or university
- Authority to grant college-level credit for training and work experience
- Background in international credential assessment, admissions, or registrar work
- Individual membership in NAFSA or TAICEP is a plus, not a requirement
Industry / Subject-Matter Expert
Expert opinion letters for EB-1A, EB-2 NIW, O-1A / O-1B, H-1B specialty occupation, and L-1B petitions.
- Advanced degree in the field — doctorate preferred for research-oriented petitions
- Currently active: faculty appointment, senior industry role, or consulting practice
- A record others can check — publications, patents, professional licenses, senior roles, or comparable recognition
- For industry-facing petitions, hands-on working experience in the field — teaching alone is not sufficient
Every Expert Is Vetted Before Joining the Network
Every application goes through the same review. This is also the process immigration attorneys and USCIS officers can expect to stand behind any letter we issue.
Credential review
We review the applicant's degrees, CV, and professional record — including publications, patents, licenses, and current or recent roles in the field.
Verification of current standing
We verify current affiliation and active practice against publicly available records — institutional directories and faculty pages, professional licensing boards, and indexed publication databases such as Google Scholar and PubMed.
Field match
We assess whether the applicant's documented expertise matches the disciplines and petition types we support. Experts are only assigned cases within their own field.
Interview
Shortlisted applicants speak with our team about their background, their field, and the standards that apply to this work.
Evaluator Agreement
Approved experts sign our Evaluator Agreement before receiving any case — covering independence, confidentiality, and accuracy standards.
Applicants who don't meet the standard are declined, and every applicant hears back from us either way. If you have questions about the process before applying, feel free to contact us.
